Matagorda Seafood Festival - March 24, 2012

The annual "Seafood Festival" will be March 24th this year.  This event is a fundraising Festival to support local projects in our comminuty, our fire department and our school.  This year the event will be bigger and better with live music, vendors sellings their wares and a great seafood feast harvested from our local waters.

Matagorda Heritage Day & Boil Blast - Fall 2012

The annual "Matagorda Day" celebration is designed to honor the town's heritage and those who made its shores a historic landmark for Texas. It also celebrates the exciting future that lay ahead. The local Heritage Society is the main organizer of the annual event with help from other local groups and churches. There is always a fundraising feast designed to help our local school, Volunteer Fire Department and EMS or local town projects. It's a day not to miss!

Christmas Yuletide Sail-A-Bration - November 23, 2012

Matagorda's Christmas Yuletide Sailabration is our holiday lighted boat parade held annually in Matagorda Harbor. Everyone is welcome to enter their boat and participate. Prizes are awarded each year for the best boats. There is always a spectacular fireworks show hosted by STP Nuclear Operating Company, the raffle always has some great items. The Gumbo Cookoff provides a great food feast for all. The proceeds always help local charities. Join us for a fun-filled festival and help us welcome in the Holiday Season each year.
