Welcome to the Matagorda Area Chamber of Commerce.

Hello and welcome to Matagorda. Look around you. We’re experiencing rapid growth in Matagorda and are working hard to proactively manage it. Matagorda is well on its way to becoming the destination of choice for recreation and nature tourism for Texans and our adjoining neighbors. Our close proximity to Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Dallas along with our quality of life and clean air help to make that possible.

Your Chamber of Commerce is an all volunteer organization of citizens that invest their time and money in community development. The direct benefit is a stronger local economy with more businesses, more jobs and more services. The indirect benefits are more public programs, better schools and a better quality of life. The goal of the chamber is to promote the commercial, industrial, civic, cultural and general interest of the area. The chamber carries the opinions of its members to the county, state and nationally elected officials. The chamber holds a board seat on the Matagorda County Economical Development Corporation.
