Located at the mouth of the Colorado River, the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) Matagorda Bay Nature Park provides recreation, education and relaxation. Their facilities include a natural science center, public fishing piers, wildlife viewing platforms, a pavilion, playground, kayak trails, rest rooms with outdoor showers, RV camp sites and a learning center with meeting facilities. Trained staff offers a variety of programs to schools, Scouts and any other group that is interested in understanding the Matagorda Bay eco-environment. LCRA provides energy, water and community services to the people of Texas.
